Langford is a small attractive village on the northern edge of Somerset yet just 13 miles from the historic city of Bristol. The village is home to 600 people and is cloaked by beautiful countryside. A visit to King Johns Hunting Lodge nearby, will share the interesting exhibits of this timber framed masterpiece dating back to the 15th Century. Or perhaps the evocative sight of Clevedon Court won’t fail to impress, this Medieval Manor House with it’s stunning collection of glass and ceramics is set in fabulous grounds and woodland. For lovers of the great outdoors a good place to start is the Mendip Hills where sky meets Mother Natures’ Pallet and the views are mesmerising, or perhaps the wild and rugged Cheddar Gorge is one destination not to be missed, where 275 steps will lead her visitor up Jacobs ladder to a stunning cliff top walk. The underground chambers of the Cheddar Caves ensure a quickened heartbeat where chambers reflect in pools of water and an unforgettable story is waiting to be shared. For smaller visitors Court Farm Country Park has piglets, lambs, and there is always the tractor ride, and the mysteries of the wildlife pond to discover
