| Events in Wishaw | 10 Places to Stay

Wishaw is to be found in the Midlands, close to the M6 toll and the M42 South East of Sutton Coldfield. The area has some of the best scenery in the West Midlands and is well known for the quality of its local architecture. However for many people Wishaw is synonymous with The Belfry which plays host to the Ryder Cup. However Wishaw does also boast its own golf course located on Bull Lane. St Chad’s church is a magnificent red sandstone building that can race its roots back to around 670AD as the church is dedicated to the Bishop of Lichfield. The likelihood is that the original church was constructed out of timber, the oldest dating of the church today indicates that the present building has been here since the 13th century. The church is to be found close to the junction of Church Lane and The Gravel. With its rural surroundings and easy access to the main Midlands conurbations it is easy to understand why Wilshaw is a popular location for the commuter.
