Eton is an attractive historical town that’s peppered with fine buildings, home to 2,000 people and sits face to face with Windsor, on the north banks of the River Thames in Berkshire. Famous for it’s school that was founded way back in 1440. Take a look at ’The School Yard’, together with the College Chapel where the 15th Century Gothic architecture is at it’s prime, complete with Medieval Wall paintings and jewel coloured stained glass windows. Step over the bridge that links Eton to Windsor and visit the Castle which has been home to the Monarch for 900 years, originally started by William The Conqueror, take a tour around the state Apartments, see Queen Mary’s Dolls House or the Changing Of The Guard. There is always the stunning magnificence of St Georges Chapel which was started by Edward 1V and completed by Henry V111, the chapel is dedicated to the Order Of The Garter, the magic bewitches any visitor into times gone by. Or for excitement why not try Legoland with fifty rides, live shows, where you can encounter crocodiles and Chinese Dragons or walk through an indoor rainforest, or how about Thorpe Park where adrenalin pumps at a fast rate on Nemesis, Colossus or for younger ones a ride on Fantasy Fish or Ollie Octopus.
