This sedate Market Town with it’s impressive Victorian and Edwardian architecture boasts many attractions for her visitors. Whether you stroll along the prom, having continental style café’s, take a paddle or swim, the award winning beaches, has both pebbles and sand that graces it’s shore. On a clear day you can see Eastbourne, Beachy Head and Hastings. The De La Warr Pavilion, with it’s Modernistic architecture was surely ahead of it’s time, whether you catch a performance or simply visit, it’s worth it. The Costume Museum has an impressive collection of 18th century delights, situated in the pretty grounds of Manor Gardens. For all things carnival, why not join the Carnival party on the 27th July or visit the carnival on 28th or, if you prefer watching boats and yachts, the Sailing Clubs take part in a race every weekend from March until November. If you prefer to be on the water instead of watching, make your way over to Egerton Park, where there is a boating lake, putting green even tennis courts. The Bexhill Leisure Centre, has a fine pool and ten pin bowling to enjoy. For a day trip or longer you will be sure to return.
