Llandysul on the A486 lies 11 miles south-west of Lampeter on the banks of the river Teifi. This small, unspoilt market town prides itself both on its history and charm. A heaven for outdoor enthusiasts, with beautiful walks to enjoy, it is an ideal location for cyclists as it has on and off-road opportunities with varying degrees of difficulty. This area is known as a Mecca for anglers but those in search of more adrenalin fuelled pursuits often come for the white water canoeing ˆ where they can be assured of thrills (and hopefully not too many spills!) The delightful Victorian town centre will keep you happily occupied but Llandysul is ideally situated for exploring wider West Wales. A few miles further on the A486 is Ffostrasol - setting of the annual Cnapan Folk festival .You might also like to explore Capel Dewi on the B4459 site of the Rock Mills Woollen Mill (still operated by descendents of the original miller.) You can easily reach the charming market towns of Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan, or the larger towns of Carmarthen and Lampeter. Llandysul is also only about twenty minutes from some of the most spectacular coastlines in Britain, in Cardigan Bay.
