The Lion Hotel & Restaurant is situated in the heart of mid Wales between Welshpool and Newtown in the award winning village of Berriew. Luxurious ensuite rooms sympathetically decorated in a style in keeping with the Inn and a choice of formal or informal dining in our non smoking restaurants.

The Lion's long standing reputation for fine food, superb accommodation, real ales and friendly welcoming service, makes it well worth the short detour of the main Welshpool to Newtown road. The hotel is overlooked by the magnificent St.Bueno's Church in the picturesque village of Berriew. The hotel is 17th Century, with exposed oak beams and sections of original wattle and daub.
