The parish of St Martin's lies to the southeast of the island of Guernsey, bordering St Peter Port, Forest and St Andrew's. There is also a seperated part of the parish to the North West. Much of the border of St Martin's is on the coast, meaning it has many beaches although it also has cliffs for some sections of the coastline. In all there are six beaches, part of Petit Bot Bay, Saint's Bay, Moulin Huet, Petit Port, Marble Bay and part of Fermain Bay. St Martins is the second highest parish on the island of Guernsey, the high ground being more to the centre, sloping gently to the boundaries of the parish. Jerbourg Point in St Martins is the most southerly part of the island. At the gate of St Martin's church stands the magnificent menhir 'La Gran'Mere du Chimquiere'. An ancient Neolithic female fertility statue carved into the shape of a woman. For refreshment in St Martin's you can visit La Vilette Hotel Bar, The Queens Hotel or The Wicked Wolf. For something different you can visit the Catherine Best Jewellery Studio at Stream Mill Lane. The studio is a converted windmill where you can see Catherine and her team at work designing and creating jewellery.
