Died on 11th of June 1892

Born 1823. Died 1892 - English academic, translator and poet.

Educated at King’s College, Cambridge. Wrote the words of the Eton Boat Song. Lived in Madeira before returning and settling in Hampstead. His Letters and Journals were published in 1897.
