Born 1962 – English actor.
Trained at RADA and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1988. Won a Tony award for playing Hamlet on Broadway. Made his film debut as Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights (1992). Became well known in the films Schindler’s List (1993) and had further success with The Quiz Show (1994) and The English Patient (1996), nominated for an Academy Award. More recently appeared in The Constant Gardener (2005).
