Born 1957 – Actor, comedian, writer and director.
Set up the popular Comic Strip in London; led to The Comic Strip Presents...on Channel 4, debuted in 1982. Best known as the punk Vyvyan Basterd in the cult series The Young Ones (1982-84) and as Eddie Hitler in the BBC sitcom Bottom (1991-95). Has written comic novels and directed pop videos. Married to Jennifer Saunders.
