Born 1865. Died 1940 - Physician and missionary.
Studied medicine at the London Hospital Medical College. Became a medical missionary in the North Sea fisheries. Went to Newfoundland and Labrador in 1892 where founded hospitals and orphanages. Knighted in 1927.
