Born 1925 - English actor.

Studied English at Magdalen College, Oxford. Began his career with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Appeared on television in The Spread of the Eagle (1963) and Elizabeth R (1971). Well known as the vet Siegfried Farnon in the television series All Creatures Great and Small. Films include The Spy Who Came in From the Cold (1965), Sense and Sensibility (1995) and he appears as Cornelius Fudge in the Harry Potter films.
