Began work as a trainee journalist in Peterborough. Worked at the Evening Standard from 1979 to 1989. Has subsequently written for The Sun, The Evening Standard and The Daily Mail. Also presents radio and television shows. Has written and co-authored several books including The Essex Girl Joke Book. Supporter of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
