James Lovelock
- Favourite Briton.

Born in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire
Born on 26th of July 1919
Died in 000

Lovelock has been an influential scientist and scientific thinker for far more than half a century. He is most famous for his Gaia Theory (seeing the earth as a complex interacting system where the organic and inorganic work together to maintain the conditions for life on the planet), but has worked for NASA, lectured at Yale and Harvard, was instrumental in the realisation that CFCs were harming the atmosphere, and is a strong advocate of nuclear power as a green energy form. His pronouncements on the world environment having gone beyond a tipping point are terrifying.
