Gerald Scarfe is a cartoonist with perhaps the most recognisable style of any British practitioner of the art in the 20th and 21st centuries. He studied at St Martin’s School of Art and the London School of Printing before a brief career in advertising. His images, often verging on the grotesque, have been published in numerous outlets from Private Eye, Punch and The New Yorker, to The Daily Mail and The Sunday Times, and he has worked on projects with Disney and Pink Floyd among others.
