It was thanks to her first job as a radiographer being at Fort William that Myrtle Simpson was able to develop her passion for and skills in mountaineering and skiing. She has climbed in New Zealand and Peru, headed arctic expeditions, became a highly skilled canoeist, but most significantly has conveyed her love of the wild outdoors to generations of others as a mountain guide and an inspiration.
