Born 1954 - English musician, half of pop duo The Pet Shop Boys.

Studied history at North London Polytechnic. Joined the British teen pop magazine Smash Hits in 1982. While in New York to interview Police he met Bobby Orlando who agreed to record some tracks for him and Chris Lowe. Orlando subsequently produced the Pet Shop Boys' first single West End Girls. Tennant provides main vocals, keyboards and occasionally guitar. Pet Shop Boys have sold more than 100 million records worldwide.
