Charlotte Rampling
Born in Braintree, EssexBorn on 5th of February 1946
Died in 000
The actress Charlotte Rampling made her name in the 1960s, breaking into the big time with her role in Georgy Girl. In the 1970s she appeared in some high-class audience-pleasers like Farewell My Lovely and Zardoz, but also in far more serious pieces like The Night Porter. That range and her real dramatic presence, allied to her flawless French (married to composer Jean-Michel Jarre for 20 years) allowing her to appear in French films too, has meant she has never wanted for work in a long career.
