Born 1943 - English actor and writer.
Educated at Oxford. Wrote for television shows such as The Frost Report and Do Not Adjust Your Set. Joined Monty Python’s Flying Circus (1969-74). Appeared in the films Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Life of Brian. A well known figure on television appearing in the documentary series Around the World in 80 days and Pole to Pole. Other film appearances include A Private Function (1984) and A Fish Called Wanda (1988).
