Born 1958 - English actress and comedienne.

Trained at Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Formed successful comedy double act with Dawn French. Co-wrote series French and Saunders (1987-96). Wrote and starred in Absolutely Fabulous, won Emmy award for the script and BAFTA award for performance.
