Studied at Slade School of Art, London. Made over 750 etchings, drypoints, aquatints and woodcuts. Sitters for portraits included Rudyard Kipling and Thomas Hardy. Illustrated books including Paradise Lost, Don Quixote and The Ancient Mariner. Member of the Royal Society of Painters, Etchers and Engravers.
