Born 1794. Died 1847 - English art critic, painter, forger and alleged poisoner.


Wrote art criticisms and numerous articles. Poisoned his half-sister-in-law (who was fraudulently insured), his uncle, his mother-in-law and possible others. Transported to Tasmania for his forgery where he painted portraits. Died in Hobart Hospital.
