for Lachenalia Exhibition as your favourite British event.

Exbury now has a fine lachenalia collection, which grows alongside our famous collection of Nerine sarniensis, traditionally displayed during October. The collection will be on show in the Gardens Five Arrows Gallery.
Lachenalias (also known as the Cape Cowslip or the Leopard Lily) are a family of about 120 species, belonging to the greater Hyacinthaceae family. They are winter flowering bulbs, which originate from the winter rainfall region of southern Africa, being dormant in summer, and growing and flowering in winter. At Exbury the first lachenalias will begin to flower in autumn with the last ones flowering in early spring. However, the bulk of the lachenalias will flower from February to April. Our fine collection also contains many of the lachenalia variations, extending to over 120 different species or variations.
