for Compost Fun Day at Growing Downside Session as your favourite British event.

Central Bedfordshire Council will be hosting ‘Compost Fun Days’ for families and children to mark Compost Awareness Week and is encouraging people to try out composting and help stop waste going to landfill.

There is a wide range of waste that you can put in your compost bin such as garden waste, tea bags, vegetable peelings, coffee grounds, cardboard, shredded paper, eggshells and tissues. In total around a third of what gets thrown into a typical household bin can be composted.

Address: Downside Neighbourhood Centre, The Annexe, Oakwood Avenue, Dunstable, LU5 4AS

The event is free
