The River Looe is a tidal river located in the county of Cornwall, in the south west corner of England. The river, with its two branches, flows from two sources, St Cleer in the east and Dobwalls in the west and then runs through the Cornish town of
Looe where it joins the sea. The town, which was originally two separate towns of
East Looe and West Looe, is situated on both sides of the river and is joined by a seven-arched bridge. The Looe Valley Line railway runs along the path of the river from
Liskeard to Looe.
