Review of Lynmouth by C Reading on July 20th, 2009
We love this area and visit quite often, but what we saw and heard on Thursday 16th July gives us in this country a bad name. An American family ordered a meal for themselves plus drinks for their two young children. As they were eating the meal the youngest asked for some of the chips from their mothers plate, the father got up from the table and asked the staff for an extra plate to put it on, he was told one meal for one plate. The couple then used the saucer from the mothers tea to put the food on.
He then said so much for British hospitality. If we want tourist in our area, then this mean attitude must stop. I hate to think what he will say about the UK when they fly home to tell his friends.
