Went here for a meal with my daughter today and her partner, found the place nicer inside than it looked inside , the food is acceptable but not great value as you get about 6 tony pieces of meat in your curry, all of us had different meals but the tiny portions had the same mean meat content and was chewy, the Coca Cola was diabolical due to being flat and warm obviously came out of a bottle that had been open a while, at£3.50 a large glass I complained as I paid the bill only to find what looked like the manager look at me like I had just came in from Mars.
My advice would be to go to Tesco down the road and get some quality food and drink.
The Indian Garden is short of good customer rapport building and common sense .
Shame really because they could of easily put things right , we did get the offer of a another coke but refused due to feeling ill.

This quiet place around the corner from the high street tucked up next to a Kebab shop was a welcome surprise. It stays open longer than all the other restaurants in town and its friendly service was the first thing to catch my attention. The menu was delightful offering a huge choice and clear explanations of the dishes. The food did not disappoint it was one of the tastiest meals I've ever had and was the equal of the curries I had in India. Completely authentic, colourful, rich, leaving me with a smile on my face. The portions are large enough that although I desperately wanted to finish them I had enough for tomorrow!
I would recommend the Indian Garden to anybody visiting the Orkney isles, especially those taking advantage of the long summer days.
