General review: We wanted to find a hotel that was a move from all the chain and corporate hotels and offered a quaint and personal service. This hotel provided us with just that - the owner made us feel very welcome and we received excellent customer service throughout the whole weekend. He provided us with helpful advice and wonderful stories, always having a jolly demeanour.

Good Points: excellent position in quiet surroundings.quick service and good quality freshly cooked food.
Bad Points: expensive evening meal.Food was of good quality but was probably 30 % overpriced
General review: Would definately stay again.original and slightly querky building well decorated in its own wooded grounds
