The Castle was packed on the day the four of us went (and I mean really busy with a queue to get in the car park) but this was the only downside on what was otherwise a lovely day. To be honest this is probably no longer an attraction for a history buff, it does lean towards the commercial, but our children were mad about the place. In todays screen staring world it was a delight for me to watch so many kids charging around clutching swords and shields and taking a real interest in the truly excellent hands on history displays - admirably staffed by costumed employees. There is loads to see and do - easily a whole days worth so dont be put off the admission price. Would advise you try and pick a less frenetic day as, whilst it was possibly one of the nicest car parks in England, waiting in it was no fun at all.

My husband and I marvelled at the falconry display which we witnessed at Warwick castle earlier this summer. It was truly a sight to behold, although I don't think Chris was very happy when a kestrel nabbed his pork pie! It's worth cautioning those with newborn babies or toddlers. What we found most interesting without a doubt was the way that electricity was generated in the Mill house. Thank you
