I was like a kid with a new toy when I visited the Maritime Musuem. The access we have in this country to such collections is second to none. All the displays from The International Slavery Musuem through to the Second World War Battle of the Atlantic and the visiting Shackleton Exhibition which runs until 3rd January 2011 were fascinating. For the kids the Border and Customs Uncovered display has many interactive opportunities and it is all free. A re-visit for me is pencilled in.
