To whom it may concern,
I felt compelled to write this as soon as I returned home from my lunch at The Garrison, while I still had that bad taste in my mouth. And I'm sure it will linger for quite some time. Until at least my next meal, which will be spectacular in comparison. I am interested to know who wrote 'one of the best places in london'. And what were they referring to exactly???
This is the first time that I have written a comment about any restaurant, either from a negative or positive perspective. I felt a genuine need to share this experience because I truly do not believe this place deserves to be described as 'one of the best places in london'.
Very, very disappointing.... The service was absent minded, disinterested and overall disgraceful. And the meals weren't any better. All four of us ordered different meals and none of them were appetising at all. The only thing that was tasty was the roast potato. The Aberdeen Angus beef was so tough, a sharp steak knife was barely cutting through it, despite being medium rare. Even though half of the meal was still left in the plate at the end, there were no inquiries by the staff as to whether we enjoyed our meal. Not a word. So, I guess that explains how important the customer is and how much their opinion is valued. I would never recommend this place to anybody, and in fact I would probably go out of my way to dissuade people from going.
Regards,
Linda
