we stayed 3 nights here without the children.
GOOD POINTS.
room :(great view over the grounds).
Grounds: simply beautiful and very easy on a city eye.
Bathroom: made ours at home look circa 1977.
Menu: packed full of things I like to eat.
Sitting room: very retro kitsch and nice to relax in.
Spa: partner told me very nice, great swim pools and best bit was beautician who got on with it and didnt babble all the way through.
BAD POINTS
Food: not bad but just didnt quite live up to the promise of the menu. Couldnt have done it better myself but could probably have cooked it to the same standard.
Staff: again not bad just a bit offish and trying to be very cooool indeed, bless them. A smile goes a long long way in this business.
Oh and it rained ! However, in the interests of balance there was more to like about cowley than dislike and all in all would return happily.
