Having had excellent recommendations for the Mad Hatters, we visited the area five weeks after it had changed hands. It is now Wild Garlic Restaurant. When I called, they asked whether we had any special requirements, so I imagine that they try to cater for these. The food is absolutely excellent (and we eat out a lot). Besides the obvious benefits of using locally sourced, fresh food (organic when possible), the chef knows how to cook and combine ingredients so that what arrives is as much art as dinner. And the service is excellent, too. We chatted to him for a while before leaving (all kind of subjects from local badgers to Gordon Ramsay). Wild Garlic is very well worth visiting. Highly, highly recommended.
