Stayed at the hotel on the weekend of the 5th August for my cousins wedding. The venue was superb, could not have found a better place to hold the event. The staff were first class and the bedrooms excellent. would greatly recommend wood hall to any one who is getting married and looking for an excellent venue. thank you for a wonderfull stay.

Honestly the best hotel we have stayed in. We organised it as a suprise for my father in laws 70th birthday, prior to going to a race meeting. We arrived mid week at the hotel along the vast drive way to be met by the the most friendliest and helpful hotel staff imaginable. The room upgrades were beautiful and we were then escorted to the spa, where we had a relaxing swim and sauna, being watched by mum in law who was taking complementary tea in lounge area. The evening followed with aperitifs in the Oak Room, before we enjoyed a sumptuous dinner of rissotto, ham and black pudding terrine, the most delious rabbit, sorbet, beautiful desserts, coffee and hors d'oeuvres all served in sumptuous dining area with views over the Yorkshire hills, after dinner it was back to the Oak Room to relax with a gently with warmed brandy. Breakfast the next day was a feast, from Continental with a choice fresh fruit and cold meats to full english with the most delicious bacon or the more up market scrambled egg with smoked salmon and caviar! The breakfast menu was endless as there was something for everyone. Overall it was superb..... But ... this is the key, this is not a stuffy uncomfortable hotel but a very friendly LUXURY hotel which we will definitely be visiting again .. the sooner the better!

A superb weekend break! The height of relaxation with first class service. The food & ambience in the Georgian Room was excellent. This was our second overnight stay and it certainly won't be our last! Well done Wood Hall!

Lovely location, great decor (modern in a old building very tasefully and sympatheically done) and the food was fantastic. However avoid weddings!
