The Blue bicycle situated on fossgate has a decent location, reasonably close to the train station and some very good pubs in the area. I went to the restaurant with my wife, and though the staff were attentive on what seemed a quiet night, we were not impressed overall with the standard of the food. My wife is a vegetarian and she had some choice on the menu, it is often difficult dining out for us, as her needs are not as well catered for as my own. On this occasion i chose not to eat the vegetarian meal and feel this may have been a mistake as hers looked better than the dish i had. The fish was a little too cooked for my liking and a little dry, i did have a pudding and that was fine. Though i think for the money i would have gone elsewhere. It was an interesting experience as i had heard something of the place, but i won't be going back in the near future.

Hello there, i recently visited this restaurant and found it to be quite peaceful upstairs in the secluded rooms. I don't get much peace in my day to day business so it made a change! Though i have to say a group of people were gathered outside the restaurant for some unfathomable reason. I just walked straight past them as i usually would.
Anyway, onto the food. Had quite a delightful meal, the calves liver was an interesting starter, i then ate the foie gras which was a little fatty and a little salty, it's not a difficult dish to cook. Then i had a side order of rabbit, with some vegetables. This was all pretty good. Tony had a similar feast but was not so taken on the foie gras.
I found the flesh to be cooked to my taste, the service was reasonable and the price i could afford being an important businessman.
