We Stayed 2 nights here and this is our second visit our first was in summer 2005 , We have found it has had a change of ownership and that the new owners have never run a campsite before ,There are JCB's / Dump trucks /Rotvators and a lot more plant moving arround from 8am even on the sunday morning 'so don't expect a lie in'
Shower blocks are first rate as is most of the site except the building work .. Maybe when this work is finnished it it will be worth another visit .... I am not really sure on this but I think there where a hell of a lot more trees around - I think a lot have been removed -

We arrived planning to stay for a few nights upon the recomendation of the AA camping guide book.
We had one tiny two man tent to pitch and two persons staying.
The guide says a price of £6.75-£14.75, we were gobsmacked when intially told that it would cost us £40 a night, then it was reduced to £20 !! which in my opinion is far too much for a camp site.
We have camped extensivly throughout Europe and have never had to pay such high camping charges, considering the facilities this campsite does not offer, e.g. no swimmming pool, no private beach, no bar, no restaurant, no heated toilet facilites, no shop. I amazed that people pay this much.
Luckily there are other much cheaper campsites, I recommend trying those!!

This camp site is extremely well run. The facilities are second to none. There was hot water available at any time of day/night for showers, washing up etc. Checking in was speedy and pleasant, we were given a choice as to where on the site would suit us best, with regard to the age of our children and their needs (i.e. close to the play area, facilities, etc?). Though there is no shop or restaurant on site, it is only a few minutes walk into the centre of Sandwich, where you are spoilt for choice. We will certainly be returning (in fact have already booked).
