We love tenby!
However we don't love this site.
All the bad reviews about miserable staff are true.
On arrival I was greeted by two miserable women,
There was no welcome pack or the usual have you stayed with us before etc.
The only things said were words to the effect of your balance is £125 payable in cash and then "that will have to stay in the car park its not allowed the site " refering to my 2014 l200 pickup with white colour matched back.
She then instructed a man stood behind me to show us to our pitch.
Two points
I accept it is clear in the rules that commercial vehicles have to park in the car park - they even provide a list of offending vehicles.
Most sites do this although when asked they usually say it only applies to white vans and have no problem with pickups providing they have a back on- this site enforces it so when it is pouring with rain and you/wife and kids want to go out you are going to get wet when you have to walk the length of the park just to get to your car, while your neighbour with his landrover discovery will just walk a couple of feet to his vehicle.
I dont know why this site has such a hatred for pickups.
2. Manners cost nothing - nothing worse after a long journey than to be greeted so abruptly.
Will not return/recomend

A lovely site but a shame about the lady that runs it and another lady that helps ,there attitude was terrible and very rude ,I am convinced because we were English and not Welsh they didn't like us ,me and my husband are very quiet people and didn't deserve the mannerism how they spoke to us ,would I go back there no I don't think so they don't deserve the custom how they talk to people ,who ever you spoke to On the site said the same

Lovely site, but what a shame about the owner blunt and very rude, with a sharp voice that scared our children, although the other staff are very pleasant and helpfull, will not stay on their site again. The club needs updating with the barman, music was out of date.

We stayed at one of their 6 berth caravans and found it very clean and tidy.
The park is family run and everyone was very friendly and welcoming, the grounds were very well kept plus a short walk from the local shop and only a 15 minute walk from a secluded beach called Waterwinch which is stunning.
Well recommended and we will be going back next year.

This caravan park is the most well managed and cleanest park I have ever stayed at. There are some rules to adhere to, but without these my stay would not have been so enjoyable because they are there for a reason, and that is to keep us and our children safe! I could relax and enjoy my time at Wood Park. The caravan park is very clean, friendly and a pleasure to sit outside and enjoy the idyllic surroundings which include lovely greenery and nature itself. The owners themselves were extremely helpful and went over and above to ensure my stay was enjoyable, by providing excellent customer service, thanks to Jill and her lovely mum! The caravans themselves were spotless and the surrounding areas very well maintained. I would certainly return to this park and miss it so much now that I am home! Can't wait to return as I love the locality with Saundersfoot and Tenby within 5 minutes. See you soon Wood Park and thank you.

First time visited this park, first impressions great, last impressions, not so much. Staff were very friendly and despite being in a tent the park looked very well kept and clean. The toilets and shower blocks however were quite dirty. Almost everything on site had a small charge, 20p per freezer block, 10p to wash dishes, 50p to charge your phone and even 20p for a shower. Also, the toilets were in need of an update without a dryer or properly working taps. Not only this but are near an offsite pub which plays loud music. The children's park was standard but climbing frame was very steep and loose. We didn't go to the clubhouse during our stay but the separate games room was well kept again, everything had a cost including snooker. Personally wouldn't stay again.

When arrived I was greeted by friendly people who are the owners of the park. They explained where everything was on the park and nothing was to much trouble. The park is very clean and superb shower facilaties. Would recommend this site and will be back again next year. Thanks for my lovely stay.

Nice clean site ,went on recommendation but wished I hadn't bothered lady behind the desk point blanck said I couldnt take my dog although she would have said yes to any other but as soon as I mentioned the word bull dog she took it for granted he was one of the nasty types with out even looking at him,he's a daft silly loveable dog that adores children and children adore him but no way would she have it,normal bull dogs do not come under the dangerous dogs act unlike the American or pit bull, read up lady you lost mega money for a booking whole of September this year and June next year through pure ignorance hope it was your money you lost and not the owners don't think they would be pleased with you,I wasn't and would never retun again

Our long weekend break couldn't of been nicer. They park staff were friendly (what we saw of them). The park itself is small but well maintained and clean. The park is situated just off the main road, up the hill from Tenby so about half way between Tenby and Saundersfoot. Great location!
My only problem with the park would be the shower block. Although clean they could have been updated/modernised. There is a charge for the showers (20p for about 5 minutes) and the water pressure was very low on all 3 days.
There is also a charge of 10p for hot water to wash dishes! There is no mention of this on their website (I double checked)
Noisy campers opposite played music until about 9pm which was fine but continued to talk loudly until about 10.30pm which started to grate a little.
EE coverage is almost non existent and from what we could tell there is about £3 charge for Wifi/day.
For 3 nights we were charged £42, not bad really but should have been a little cheaper as we had to pay to keep clean!
Overall we would go back. Its family friendly, clean, well kept and has a good location.

This is a lovely clean site split into different sections for tourers, and statics really spacious and immaculate , we e mailed on the spur of the moment for a short break, we had 3 nights for £125 ,all other sites were quoting £195-£255 for the same dates. The caravan was a 2 bed 32x 10ft, clean and tidy ,rather old probably 15 yrs or more but it was nice enough for us and I am quite fussy , despite reading other comments the owner was very nice with us and we checked in much earlier than stated , they told us how to get to the small beach across the way about 15 min walk down a private road, then across the nature walk into Tenby. There is a pub across the way and a shop for any essentials.
I would go back there again no hesitation

We have just stayed at Wood Park for the third year running, this time bringing other family members. The site is situated in a lovely location and well presented and convenient to many of the local attractions. The static caravans are attractively laid out around a pleasant green where children can play safely, there is an additional playground. If you are looking for a quiet, friendly, relaxing and safe environment for your family we would recommend this site.

Terribly rude and abusive people, don't come here. I arrived after a long hot drive with my vulnerable 83yr mother. We had a week booked into the Poplar 4 berth caravan- which is obviously non-smoking and states smoking outside. When I truthfully said my daughter was visiting for a few days and was a rare social smoker, not an indoor smoker, we were refused. This woman shouted in my face for a good 10mins accusing me of misinforming her because there might be molecules of smoke on my daughters clothes that would cost her £2'000.Such legal non-sense. She also threatened to sue me in the highest possible courts if I wrote about this in any reviews. My concern was for my mother and her health. We had to leave and find another place to stay, which luckily was the next door site at Well Park. They were friendly, welcoming and the place perfectly clean. It took me 2 days to recover from the shock of this woman's abuse. I have never, ever been treated like this before in all my years of extensive holidays.

My husband and I arrived on 23rd August and were shown to our pitch with no problems. Our first impressions were that it was very nice. We found the shower block adequate but the showers needed more water pressure. Our problems started 2 days later when as a courtesy I called to reception to tell them that our children would be arriving later that night to join us for the rest of our 4 night break. I was told that under no circumstances were we to have anymore adults in our van, even though it is a 6 berth, and no more than one car either. The owner told me that her public liability insurance only allowed 2 adults and up to 3 young children per unit. I went back later and asked could they have a tent pitch instead but she told me it was too muddy on the other field even though there were plenty of tents already there. Luckily for us we have good friends on another site in Tenby who were able to have our children to stay with them, as they were already on their way. I have never met such awkward and unfriendly people as these 2 women. They just kept repeating that it was all in the rules on my receipt if I wanted to check. I had booked last minute and was relieved to get a pitch for the bank holiday, but little did I know I'd be regretting ever coming across their listing on UK campsite website. Unfortunately Wood Park do not allow reviews on that website, I wonder why??? We have stayed on such lovely privately owned sites all over the country and I can honestly say I have never come across this sort of attitude in owners. They couldn't care less of the predicament we were in, due to their ridiculous rules. I would never recommend this site to anyone.

Where do I begin? We arrived at 2.10p.m.to a closed reception office, having driven one hundred and sixty miles. The owner eventually appeared from the house and complained that she had hardly had time to finish her lunch! We had a very cool reception: it felt as though we were intruding. The site was well set out and appeared well maintained. However the toilet block was very dated and it cost 20p for a shower. My husband went over in the rain, undressed and the shower failed to work - twice!. Two days later, both my husband and I went over for a shower, and neither one worked. Having put five 20p pieces in and failed to have a shower, I went over to reception at 11.10 to find it closed. A gentleman who works on the site knocked at the house and the lady owner came to the door and didn 't want to know. She siad "I am trying to get my breakfast!" I explained and she barked "It's not my fault if people cause it to trip out, and she slammed the door on me. I went to the office the next day and she was extremely rude. I have never encountered such abominable rudeness before and my husband and I have travelled all over the world. We shall never visit this site again. We went next door to Well Park, and encountered courtesy and politeness. The fees were less, there were free showers, brilliant laundry facilities and levelled pitches. Wood Park desn't deserve to have paying customers. Disgraceful behaviour and inexcusable rudeness. Go to Well Park. Brilliant!

My wife went down with our kids and her friend. My wife does NOT drive fast on the site but the daughter owner stopped my wife screamed at her for speeding??? My 7 yr old daughter in the back was hysterical crying and didnt sleep all night. She also banned my wife's car from the site and my wife had to walk with my two children to a local pub car park each time to get the car.
AVOID SITE AT ALL COSTS.

Oh dear! This is a beautiful campsite which is spoiled by the attitude of the owners who appear to be mother and daughter. Two of the most sour faced people i have ever had the misfortune to meet! On site ^rules^ apply and there are many, no bikes, scooters allowed although their own daughter zips around the site on one! No dogs, no groups of lads or girls, no noise, 20p to shower and 10p to wash up. No mop and bucket in showers so although the showers are cleaned every morning once a person has used them the next however many users have to shower in everyone else.s soap and hair, quite horrible! wood park needs to review its customer service policy because as it stands there isnt any unless of course you appear wealthy, drive a big flashy car in which case they.ll bend over backwards to accommodate you!

Where to start.
Welcome: The woman who dealt with us at reception was as miserable as sin. She made you feel as is if it was a real hassle to be dealing with you, and that she had far better and more important things to do than deal with a paying customer.
Rules: there are rules posted everywhere, no bikes, scooters, skate boards, dogs, couples sharing tents, ect. ect., it was actually quiet amusing to read them all. I've never seen so many.
Shower block: 20p for a shower, which was a pathetic dribble of a shower. To be fair the bathrooms were reasonably clean, although dated, oh and plastered in rules. Oh yeah, if you want hot water to wash up you have to pay 10p.
All in all I wouldn't bother staying at Wood Park, next door looked a lot nicer site!!

We have stayed here twice this year and have loved it. We have found the owners very accomodating and helpful. It is a beautifully presented site very clean and Quiet which although we have two children we dont like too much noise all of the time the play area is safe and ideal our 7 year old was there all the time we could relax. Other people have commented about the charges for the showers and dishwashing sink(20p and 10p) we enjoyed ourself so much we didnt mind. We will be back next year !

We arrived at the campsite and hadn't been booked in, the owner was very matter of fact. We were not told beforehand 20p for a shower and 10p to wash up. We didn't like the attitude of the owner. We thought the site fees were expensive, no entertainment and no swimming pool. The only good point is Bill the barman was very friendly. Will go back to Tenby but definitely not Wood Park!!

Had booked two tent pitches with friends, a family of 5 and a family of 4 for the week, we turned up with an extra child, we were pointed out that the "RULES" state no additional people unless agreed, OK, so we apologised, if we were all inclusive fair enough but we were camping!! We had also turned up with bikes, again this was a big NO NO. I can't believe in the present climate the customer service we were treated with. Due to the above we had to leave the site as we were not welcome, myself an accountant and the other parent a senior teacher come from respectable families and had never come across reception staff so rude in all our life’s. Anyway we had to go and find somewhere else in peak holiday period and luckily enough Trevayne Farm had availability and we had a fantastic welcome and had a great week, bikes were welcome thankfully. Following this my deposit was returned, they would not give me cash as with the cheque was an accompanying letter with a threat of legal action should i post a review. Oh well lesson learnt, i should have taken more notice of the previous reviews. Happy camping!!

stayed in a 1 bedroom caravan with a faulty water heater that had to be repaired on the day of arrival! The heater pilot light would continually extinquish itself whilst taking a shower and it was obvious the heater had not been maintained properly. There were no gas safety inspection certificates displayed in caravan thus causing me to doubt the overall safety of caravan.Tenby area is a wonderful part of Wales but avoid Wood Park Caravan Park-I would not recommend hiring a van at this site to anybody who values their safety.
Owners appeared dismissive of any of their responsibilities.

My mother and I rented a caravan in June this year and like the other reviewers - never again. The reception staff were very unfriendly (as was the cleaner) and the caravan was badly equipped, no toaster, a whistling kettle and the thinnest blankets we had ever seen. The shower was quite lethal. In addition, there were at least 5 notices stuck up on the walls of the caravan pointing out the numberous rules and regulation (more like Fawlty Towers). The owners and staff seem to have no customer service skills whatsoever and no interest in people having a good holiday.

we tried to book a holiday at this site for this summer as it looked nice on the website. there would have been my mum and dad my sister and her husband and myself and my husband. the lady was very snooty on the phone and when we mentioned i had 4 kids she would not allow us to book and said that they weren't the sort of campsite for us!!!! apparently its a maximum of 3 people per booking as it gets too noisy otherwise.she said they don't allow GROUP bookings. GROUP!!!!! we are a family and a cery nice one at that. we wanted a nice site that was clean and safe for our children. so thank you to the stuck up cow off the phone i'm glad we didn't end up there, we're going to Rowstens instead just across the road ha ha ha!

I agree with the other 2 reviews. 20p to have a shower and 20p to wash up your utensils. I popped my head into the 'bar' and it looked worse than a wake. There were about 3 other campsites in very close proximity and if I ever went back, I would stay at one of those. We left 2 nights early, due to the bad weather. I didn't even bother to ask if I could any of my money back as I didn't want to have to speak to the staff again. The best think about the site was probably the super mario pin ball machine. AVOID!!
