Its a great course but the pace of play can be a real problem. 5 hours for a round of golf is too long. They need to watch that as it will put people off.

What an awesome course. Not just one picture hole but most of the course to be honest with great views all around. A tough course in the wind and some great long par 3's. Course in kept in very good condition, but the greens were under some maintanence when we visited. Woudl love to go back and play it when the greens are at thier best. Totally recommend it

On our arrival the wind was blowing & the rain was falling, but with course planners to hand all 12 of us found our way around a very good course, considering the amount of traffic going through it.The hill's & hollow's play a big part with the odd water hazard tucked away ready to catch you out, & depending on the wind each game would bring a different challange to the same holes.Friday & Saturday scores improved, but with good fairways & reseptive green's it is well worth a visit. If you, like us, stay in the hotel you will find the bar & dinning room staff very good & very helpfull but why they put the kitchen extracter fan on at 7am when breakfast is not untill 8am & everthing is cooked to order is puzzleing, because if you're in ROOM 127 OR 128 YOU WILL BE WOKEN UP AT 7.05 EVERY MORNING when they turn that bloody fan on, & when you ask at reception to be moved all you will get is a shrug of the shoulders & no.Still apart from that I would recommend a visit to Bowood Pk. {but avoid room 127 & 128.
