Hello to anyone considering Gatehouse as a venue for bed and breakfast. I was seventeen year old engineering apprentice when I first saw Gatehouse. It was 1962 and my company had sent me on a months Outward bound course. The course started on the 12th of March and the weather and the tasks were challenging to say the least. It was an experience that I will always remember.
I visited the lake district forty odd years later and decided to rekindle my memories by visiting Eskdale. I`m glad that I did. the house has retained all of it`s character. I am sure anyone who decides to stay at Gatehouse will not be disappointed. Ken Whitehouse. West midlands
