After a dreary day when it rained for nearly 24 hours without much let up we visited the Falcon Inn for an evening meal. Because we had been walking in the rain and needed a hot bath we were quite late arriving - about 8.45pm. Having established they were still serving meals we both ordered a Beef, mushroom and and blue cheese pie. It arrived within 10 mins, was piping hot and was absolutely delicious. The vegetables were crunchy and there were plenty of them and the shortcrust pastry pie was first rate. The price was reasonable for saying this was much above the average 'pub grub.' Staff were friendly and helpful. Just what we needed !! Many thanks.
