What a fantastic location! The views, the building and the decor are all lovely. We had a fantastic meal and the staff and were very attentive. My husband had a wonderful burger and my roast dinner was lovely. I would definately recommend it.

A beautifuly decorated and spectacularly located pub is unfortunately let down by the sub-standard food. I have never paid so much for such poor food. The plates were cold and so was my husband's roast beef. The beef itself was chewy. My tortellini was undercooked and the pesto sauce no better than a ready meal from supermarkets. My son had a haddock fishcake that was full of bones and incredibly salty, with an inedible tartare sauce. I will never eat there again unless they have a change of chef!!

Have enjoyed a really good sunday lunch. The roast pork was quite lovely with the most beautiful crunchy crackling. The atmosphere was very good and the young waiters did an excellent job of making us feel very welcome. Well done

The staff are so helpful and attentive. They remembered us from a visit more than a month prior. The food is very good and attractive;y presented but the vegetarian options are too limited. We will definitely be back.

I so want to like The Lodge - fab setting, full of young good-looking staff and an inviting menu - but it just isn't right. My arm stuck to the sticky of stickiest tables - it shrieked out for a good work out with Mr Muscle. The food was nice but meanly presented - there was no greenery with my husband's cod (tastily on puy lentils)or my son's creamy tortellini, which he loved but was in desparate need of something to cut through it. The salad with my risotto was great - but all main courses need a balance. Our second drink didn't arrive to after we had finished our meal which was a serious oversight. Come on The Lodge try harder - we want to support you but get your act together!

The food was beautiful, with a very varied menu. The staff coudln't of been any more accomodating. The views from the restaurant are amazing.
