We were unfortunate to get the last room, No 5. The bathroom was very spacious but the bedroom was average & smelt of damp & stale beer.
The adjoining children's room was even worse with a 45 degree floor where the kids could of rolled out of bed.
We did not have an evening meal but at breakfast time we could not find a clean bowl, I had to wipe mine on my T-shirt!
The receptionist was cool & insisted on payment before hand.
I can not recommend the stay.

On arriving, the hotel looked great. In a very small village but a short drive from other villages and places to do and visit. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was a slight disappointment as it did not resemble at all , any of the rooms showed on their website. However, The room had everything we needed for our 1 night stay although a double room should really have 2 bath towels , not one. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean with handy tea and coffee facilities. They have hairdryers and irons but you need to get these from reception. The food - to sum up - our evening meal was pretty good to excellent. We both enjoyed our starters and mains but a real disappointment on the puds! Breakfast was in a lovely stable setting and was fine. One slight gripe would be to know exactly what was in the cooked english breakfast so you could choose to not have certain items on your plate if you didn't like them. The bar had a lovely atmosphere and was cozy and for smokers, there was a heated outside shelter. On the whole, the hotel was fine and we really enjoyed our stay.
