What a fantasitic little find - It was a quite Tuesday evening and what a lovely little place we have found. Friendly and welcoming. There was so much to choose from the extensive and varied board. I had the locally reared Belly pork (cant remember the dishes name) it was superb. Its great to find a privately run pub, thats doing great local food (few and far between these days). Its a shame its not closer to my home in Surrey, but we will be back very soon. I missed out on the desserts due to not being able to resist the piri piri squid for starters.
We were lucky as it was a Tuesday night and therefore didn't have a reservation but from talking to a few of the regulars there it seems like you might need to for the latter part of the week. Looking forward to our return visit.

We were very disappointed with the Rede Plough. We had booked for a Birthday celebratation and having never been before, we had heard good things. However the food was not to the standard we expected for the prices. Very expensive, extremely bland and no one should serve duck with chips and peas! None of the meals came with sauses including the crayfish. The good points was the nice atmosphere and cosy resturant.

We often use the Plough for intimate meals for two or for informal business dinners. We have nothing but praise for the service, wine list and extensive menu. There is ALWAYS something to please even the fussiest of diners. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The food is exceptional. We highly recommend this lovely little inn.
Whom ever placed the previous review dated 15-7-05 must not have the ability to recognize an excellent little country restaurant, good food, wine etc. And not have the courage to give their name to a ridiculous review!!!

Very poor value for money. Food unimaginative. Range of drinks at bar was poor. Front of house service rude.
