Under new management maybe, but I wouldn't waste your time or money, absolutely awful atmosphere. I asked for a sandwhich in the end as the dinner I had ordered and was served came with not only one hair but several and made me gag, not only that it was served on a dirty plate! NO Apology from any of the stony faced, cold staff. I had no choice but to stay the night as I had a business meeting the next day and how I wish I hadn't had too, the room was dirty and smelly, cold. I didn't have breakfast so cannot comment, the overall experience was so bad that I insisted on a total refund! I didn't get it and I will not be back. The new management have a long way to go.

Very disappointing. Poor reception. Room all right, except for flimsy rubber mattress, no bath mat, shower not working properly and room not cleaned on the 28th. When I enquired as to why not, was met with a stream of invective from the proprietor, which was very upsetting. I did not try the food, as from the general ambience of the public area, I did not feel it would be very good. It is a great shame, as the building promises to be very nice, the village is wonderful, but it certainly did not meet expectations and I consider it overpriced for what it offers.
