We found Wheal Rodney a very welcoming place. We stayed in a 1 bedroom bungalow, which was clean and provided adaquate accomadation. There was everything you needed - cooker, fridge & microwave, even a hospitality pack of tea, coffee, fresh milk & biscuits. You were given a detailed booklet about all the staff, animals, opening times of the pool and reviews on where to eat. In reception there were many tourist information leaflets, books & puzzles to borrow, tidal information and friendly approchable staff to answer any questions. The site as a whole was kept tidy with flowers hung on all bungalows. The showers and pool area was always clean. Swimming was free to the people staying on site, but also open to the paying public. The nearest pub was a 10 minute walk, with the town another 5 - 10 minutes from there, with good bus links to other towns. There were many places to eat out including takeaways. There was various shops to buy gifts and to browse. I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a quiet holiday either self catering or for caravaning or camping.
