My hotel booked a Parklane cab to take me from the Edward Lear Hotel to Paddington Station.
There was no meter in the car. When I asked the driver how much I owed him he told me 12 pounds.
I later learned that the fare should have cost 4-6 pounds. To add insult to injury the driver dropped me off a block away from the entrance to the station and did not offer any help with my bag.
All in all I would not recommend this company and will not use them when I return to London in the spring.
