Good Points: Generally a comfortable stay. Good breakfast. Cheerful and efficient staff
General review: An enjoyable stop despite the continuous rain.

The location of this hotel is, in Wells, Unsurpassed. Right opposite the west front of the cathedral. Although you can't actually see the front of building a 15 second walk from the hotel front door and through an archway and the view is magnificent. The staff were very friendly especially the breakfast ladies. Parking is available but in a very cramped car park along a narrow entrance which if people aren't considerate would be difficult to negotiate. We paid £100 for a room, (room No. 1) that was very small and cramped. It seemed to accommodate its own bathroom and because of the shape also housed the bathroom from the room next door. The bed was comfortable, but the shower was taped to the shower post in such a way it just flopped to one side and would not direct its jet onto you. On complaining we were refunded £20 but for such a shoddy room we thought it still overpriced, compared with other places we stayed, in Bath, Gwent and Hereford during the week. I would not return to the White Hart.

Close to town comfortable beds good level of hospitality eg bottled water on arrival and another one when empty,Wedding room commandeered dining room on Saturday evening hairdryer did not work toilet did not flush properly radiator was faulty and noisy.,We like to go to different places and we pick at random and we only book places which take bookings online. We tend not to go to the same area but when we do find somewhere which we think is superb then we will go back. We would re-visit the White Hart Hotel if we were going to Wells again.
