We were just passing through, on a cold winter's eve when the thought of a quick drink jumped to mind. The greeting was extremely friendly and the fire set a cosy atmosphere. The place was jolly as a birthday and anniversary were being celebrated. As i ordered the drinks the owner ( John ) asked if we were staying in the area, I replied " Sorry only tonight".
This is truly a lovely old-fashioned pub. It has so much to offer, we stayed for another 3 hours and relaxed in good company, whilst the locals played good music and sang, This village pub is the best that we have been in for many a year. I wish, that this pub was our local,
