My 26 year old son and I arrived and waited for 55 minutes for our 'food.' It was cold, burnt and the only reason we ate it was HUNGER. My son had steak and chicken I had a mixed grill. The chicken could not be cut as it was so dry and burn and cold. Egg was cold and runny, chips undercooked, steak cold and gristly. The promised onion rings never came at all! probably a blessing. Customers were constantly going to the bar and complaining about their wait (there were perhaps 8 tables in - not over busy at half term) All were told there was a 30 minute wait??? There were few staff a girl on the copunter saying we could purchase more drinks as we waited (no thanks) a wastr of an hour inb a beautiful place. Asa tourist I felt Id been taken advantage of as colourful menus promised so much UGH My son and I have travelled and eaten in many average places but even he complained - all afternoon. I paid more fool me then I looked at the reviews on other sites which outlined outstanding problems her . Gordon could make one hell of a programm here. DONT GO

In a family group of 7 including 2 children we ordered lunch, after a wait of 40 minutes we complained that the food had not arrived and were told that it would be a further 20 minutes. Having insisted that the order be accelerated 5 of the meals were produced within 5 minutes. After a further 15 minutes the childrens food had not appeared.
Pies were overcooked and unpleasant to eat, a hamburger was dry and hard. We sought and received refunds for these meals. Eventually the childrens food appeared. The fried eggs appeared to have been fried in burnt oil resembling engine oil. We refused this and left with a refund. We would strongly advise avoiding this restaurant until the chef was replaced and the management overhauled. The counter staff were pleasant and helpful in the circumstances.
