arrived at this charming country pub on saturday night for the first time from a friends recommendation. we arrived early so we had a drink in the bar. this is a great bar sparkling with over 30 malt whiskeys and a choice of real ales.service and upselling was great.the place was packed to the rafters and that is a rare site nowadays even on a saturday night.we went through to the restaurant and had what i think was the best and probably biggest 12 ounce fillet in my life. everything about this pub says standards.my only slight niggle was we did have to wait a while for the main course but it was well worth the wait.a must visit pub .
